Author Name:
If the author has more than one alias, I try to use the one that's
most commonly used. If the author used different names in
different fandoms, I'll use the name related to that rec's fandom.
Pairing: I
only list secondary pairings in warnings. I don't list pairings
based on sex scenes. I prioritize by romantic involvement first,
and if there isn't any, I go with the sexual pairing.
Rating: I
use the old fashioned movie rating system. I don't know a lot
about the new fiction rating systems. I'll do the translating best
as I can, but don't trust it too much. I prefer to up the rating
in case of doubt though, no worries.
Length: Word
count. Sometimes I include the notes, sometimes not. Sometimes I
use the author's given word count, sometimes not. If I recommend a
story with one or more sequels, I generally include them in the
word count. Unless I'm only recommending the first story and
linking to the sequels just to let the reader know. Then I won't.
(Wasn't this guide supposed to be helpful?)
Categories:
Themes. Fandom specific or general. (Future Fic, Kid Fic, First
Time, Death Fic and many more like it.) You have to highlight the
text to read those, because some people don't want to be spoiled.
(Detailed list of categories)
Warnings:
All warnings. Again, you
have to highlight to read. People deserve the choice, or so they
tell me.
Reccer's Notes:
My notes. Whatever I felt like adding. What I liked, what I
didn't like... etc.
Stars: My
rating. 6 stars means I want to have the author's babies. 1 star
usually means I didn't think the story was good, I just liked one
detail (one scene, one character, one event) in the story. Rest is
all about my mood.
Author
Information: Whatever I know about the author goes there.
Story Links:
I try to give as many links as possible. Because websites come and
go, and I don't want to have to fix the links every couple of
months. Hate broken links.
